The Weidmüller WDS2 RS232/TTY is an interface converter from the WAVE series designed for serial communication in industrial automation environments. It converts digital RS232/TTY serial signals into a wire-based signal format, allowing transmission over long cable distances up to 1000 meters using twisted-pair wiring.
